II. Ten Proofs/Promises of ‘The Love’ in Action

1.      To love your enemies is proof you are a child of your Father (Matthew 5:43-48)

2.      To love one another is proof that you are a disciple of Christ (John 13:34,35)

3.      To love God w/all your heart & understanding & soul & strength and to love

your neighbor as yourself is more than all whole burnt offering… (Mark 12:32)

4.      To love brings great reward (Luke 6:35)

5.      To love shows proof of forgiveness (Luke 7:47)

6.      To love means obedience to Commandments is necessary (John 14:15, 21, 23, 24)

7.      To love fulfills the requirements of the Law (Romans 13:8-10; Galatians 5:14)

8.      To love brings abiding in the Light (I John 2:10)

9.      To love the brethren proves we have passed from death unto life (I John 3:14)

10.  To love proves you are born of God (I John 4:7)

III. Eight Proofs of Abiding in Christ (John 15:4ff)

1.      By walking as the Lord Jesus Christ walked (I John 2:6)

2.      By having no occasion of stumbling (I John 2:10)

3.      By allowing the doctrine of Christ abide in you (I John 2:23,24)

4.      By not being ashamed at His Coming (I John 2:28)

5.      By not falling into sin (I John 3:6)

6.      By the Spirit which He hath given us (I John 3:24, 4:12)

7.      By confessing that Jesus is the Son of God (I John 4:15)

8.      By dwelling in love (I John 4:16)

IV. Seven Biblical Fruits (John 15:1-8,16)

1.      Fruit of the Spirit (John 15:1-8; Galatians 5:22,23)-----------Character

V. Four Points to Remember When the World Hates You (John 15:18-21)

1.      World hated Jesus first (v.18)

2.      World’s hatred proves you are a disciple (v.19)

3.      The disciple is sharing the Master’s lot (v.20)

4.      The disciple is suffering w/Him and for His sake (v.21)
