‘And I in you…’
2. Purpose:
‘As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself…’
D. ‘But when the
Comforter is come…’ (15:26)
1. Promise:
‘Whom I will send unto you from the Father…’
2. Person:
‘Even the Spirit of Truth…’
3. Source:
‘Which proceeds from the Father…’
4. Purpose:
‘He shall testify of Me.’
E. ‘Nevertheless
I tell you the Truth…’ (16:7)
1. Plan:
‘It is expedient for you that I go away…’
2. Purpose:
‘For if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you…’
3. Promise:
‘But if I depart, I will send Him unto you.’
F. ‘Howbeit
when He the Spirit of Truth is come…’ (16:13,14)

‘He will guide you into all Truth…’

‘For He shall not speak of Himself, but whatsoever He shall hear,
that shall He speak…’

‘He shall glorify Me…’

‘For He shall receive of Mine, and shall show it unto you.’

‘He shall take of Mine, and shall show it unto you.’
